About Me

Kristen Letchworth

Career Change Coach

After 11 years of working in Corporate America, I quit my job.

It wasn't some big or dramatic event; it was a slow burn and a (somewhat) measured decision.

Coming out of college, I was eager and excited and honestly surprised that a company would pay for me to get on a plane every week, stay in a hotel, and pay for my food and other expenses. As the novelty wore off, I switched to a job with less travel and a renewed focus. And then I eventually took a job back in my home state to be closer to family. Every job change, promotion, or new project would sustain me for a bit, but eventually I was left with a feeling of discontentment.

For the first time since college, I allowed myself to have a fresh outlook on my career. Who says that just because I spent over a decade in one line of work that I had to continue on that path? Isn't that the definition of the sunk cost fallacy?

I dedicated time and effort to getting clear on my values, strengths, and interests. That process led me to career change coaching for my next right career. I say "next right" career because I think phrases like "dream job" and "the perfect fit" put on too much pressure and make it seem unattainable. Also, why can't you have 2 or 3 or 4 careers in a lifetime? The good news is that there are tools and tactics that make finding what you want to do attainable. I'd love to work with you on your journey; let's get started!
